Your waiting is not in vain--when you're waiting on God

Hey Commissioners!
Just like the title states, your waiting is not in vain when you're waiting on God. I had to realize that soon or else I would've lost my mind in the waiting period between what God is going to do vs where I was at in the present. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't become easier because you are waiting on God BUT you're not going through it alone because he is constantly reassuring you through scripture, song, prophecy, or simply through someone who stands in agreement with you for where God is taking you (Those people are VERY important) I remember in the beginning of the year, I was in a very tough spot. I had a decision I needed to make and this decision would ultimately shape how the next few months of my life would pan out. It was not an easy decision as I had experienced what I felt like was defeat in that area before. I couldn't pray and was in an overall tough spot. I remember exactly where I was when I received a message from a fellow sister in Christ that not only spoke life into me, she was reminding me the plans that God has for my life. I needed to hear that in that very moment because I did not have much time ahead of me to make a decision. In that moment I could do two things. 1. Choose to believe in the report of the Lord or 2. Wallow some more in self doubt. I chose the former. You see, the very thing that took me months to decide on came to a screech halt because I allowed my mind to finally align with God’s will for me. Did I still have some doubt? Yes! I think that's part of our human nature-- always trying to get ahead of God with our plans but in that moment, I can say that I no longer wrestled with it. I was obedient and pursued that thing and I'm grateful for doing it. I realized that when God promises you something, he is more than capable of making that thing come to fruition. It is he who brings forth good things in our lives. When you're waiting on God, wait patiently and seek to occupy your minds with what you know about who HE is. The very essence of who God is makes him someone that you can trust. He is not a God that he should lie and I pray that in your waiting period, you will begin to trust him more. No matter what it is you’re waiting on, may you feel his presence as you wait because if you wait on him, you will not wait in vain. Below are some reminders of who HE is. 1. He is a promise keeper (Psalm 145:13)
2. He longs to give good gifts to his children (Matthew 7:11)
3. He can do ALL things, no purpose of his will be thwarted (Job 42:2)
4. HIS words will not turn to him void (Isaiah 55:11)
5. Great are the plans he has for you (Jeremiah 29:11)
6. Nothing is impossible or those who believe (Mark 9:23)
"Your waiting will not be in vain if you know in whom you are waiting for":)
Be blessed:)
Below are pictures from my recent Hooding Ceremony that was a year past due but God knew how much not having one weighed on my heart and made it happen and I’m so thankful for that. My waiting for this moment was not in vain:-)
